Brian Turnbull was kind enough to post some photos he took of the Hackon. You can check them out on Flickr. Thanks Brian!
I've finished preparing the photos from the Hackon and I've uploaded them to my flicker account. Thanks to tripdragon for the idea to use Polarize for the iPhone ;) Hackon 2009 Photos
Russ posted a nice writeup of his experience at the Hackon on his website CodeOfficer.com. Thanks!
Thank you to all the local hackers, developers, designers, managers, and (ex)CIA that attended the Hackon - you are what made the event such a success! In the end we had close to 30 RSVPs and quite a few drop-ins (also completely welcome). There were many photos (and a few videos) taken that I'll be uploading sometime in the next few days. If you have a blog post or comment, just let me know and I'll post it here.
Ryan Smith will be presenting "Everyday Apache Configuration" and Tiffany Rad will be showing off OpenOtto which is a technology that will provide free access to you're vehicle's computer systems.
@justbeast will be giving a demo of the Seaside web framwork (written in Smalltalk) on Saturday!
We're actively looking for any talks in any reasonable length (5-50mins?) for Saturday's unconference. Don't think you have enough to talk about? Give a 5-10 minute run through of how to use your favorite plugin. Explain a refactoring technique. Since this is a language agnostic event, demo your preferred programming language. Give a tutorial on your favorite development tools or editor. Practice a talk to give at your local user group.
Your talk does not have to be formal (although it can be). If you can't think of a topic until Saturday, we welcome on-the-fly submissions. You can talk about whatever you'd like as long as it would be interesting to the attendees. Go ahead, submit a talk for Saturday and I'll put it on the schedule below.
