Mike Tierney
Director of UI Engineering
A dedicated user experience developer with nearly a decade of experience building complex web applications, Mike has worked with startups, colleges and design agencies, always with a focus on creating quality interactive experiences.
Mike is a proud alumni of the University of Arizona, studying Visual Communications with an emphasis on Illustration. He spent several years working at startups, including Onehub and doxo, as both a UI designer and a developer. He is passionate about design, illustration, and good code. Although his primary focus is on front-end development, he's an experienced ruby programmer as well.
At doxo he built a comprehensive UI framework that eventually worked in harmony across multiple web applications and marketing web sites. His work eventually transitioned in to leading UI design for the company in addition to his work as a developer.
He currently lives in Seattle, WA where he spends his free time running, working on projects with the Seattle Ruby Brigade, painting, drawing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife and small (but mighty) dog.
